Pin Valley National Park

Pin Valley National Park is located in the cold desert area of the Spiti valley, in the Lahul and Spiti district within the region of Himachal Pradesh. It was declared a park in 1987 and covers an area of about 1875 km2. The park is famous shelter for ibex and snow leopards.
Apart from some common animals and birds you may also find out wolf in this park. There are two routes to get in Pin valley National park:
First one is summer Route which is open from July to October
Shimla to Chandigarh to Kullu by Air or by Bus (272 km)
Kullu to Kaza by Bus via Manali, Rohtang Pass (3978 m) and Kunzam Pass (4551 m)-260 kms
Kaza to Mikkim by Bus or Jeep -32 kms
Mikkim to Park Aea on foot - 10 kms
Second is winter route
Shimla to Tapri by Bus
Tapri to Kaza (park HQ) by Bus
Kaza to Park Area as above 32 km+10km on foot
Nearest rail head is Shimla and nearest aerodrome is (Bhuntar) Kullu.
