Chail Wildlife Sanctuary

Chail wildlife sanctuary is located at chail which is 44 km far from Shimla and located in district Solan and at an altitude of - 2,250 m. The sanctuary was notified on 21 March 1976 near Shimla and covers an area of about 10,854.36 hectares. The chail sanctuary has ghoral, kakkar, sambhar, red jungle fowl and khalij and cheer pheasants. The chail sanctuary is covered with dense forest of oak tree, pine and deodar tree. It also has prevented few endangered species of reptiles and birds.
You can reach there by Airport- Jubbarhati airport in Shimla, Railways- Kalka-Shimla railways or Roadways- chail has good connectivity by road.
